MIAMI VEHICLE SELLER GUIDE
Preparing Pickup for a Car That Will Not Roll in Hialeah or Miami
A non-running engine and a car that cannot roll are different pickup problems. A vehicle may not start but still move on its wheels, while another car may have locked brakes, a missing wheel or damage that prevents movement. When selling a car in Hialeah or Miami, describe both its engine condition and its actual movement so the buyer can review collection access.
You do not need to diagnose the mechanical cause or move the car to request an initial offer. Explain what you know, what you have observed and what remains untested. The collection plan should be based on the car as it sits today.
Separate the movement questions
- Starts: does the engine turn on, or is the starting condition unknown?
- Rolls: can the wheels move, or has the car remained in the same position?
- Steers: do you have the keys, and is any steering limitation known?
- Wheels and tires: are all wheels fitted, with flat or missing tires disclosed?
- Position: is the car on level pavement, grass, a slope or inside a garage?
Do not test these conditions by pushing a damaged vehicle into traffic or attempting to release brakes yourself. If you have not checked movement, report it as unknown rather than describing the car as ready to load.
Photograph access as well as damage
Take current pictures of the car and the space between it and the property entrance. A close-up of a flat tire does not show a narrow side gate or another vehicle blocking the path. Include a wider view when you can do so safely, and explain any side you cannot reach.
For a Hialeah apartment lot, identify the parking space and entry contact. For a driveway, describe gates, overhead obstructions and parked cars. For a garage, report the clearance information you have without promising that a particular truck will fit. Let the collection team assess the access requirements.
Describe the obstacle accurately
“It does not move” is a useful start, but add the known reason when available: a wheel is missing, the tires are flat, collision damage is near a wheel, or a shop has confirmed a brake issue. Keep a confirmed diagnosis separate from your own observation. Do not assume a replacement tire resolves every movement limitation.
Mention disassembled parts and loose components that remain with the vehicle. If the car is at a repair shop, coordinate access and release with that business. A purchase offer does not automatically settle a separate repair or storage obligation.
Confirm collection before clearing the space
Ask whether the disclosed condition can be collected, what access needs to be available and whether pickup is included in the offer. Confirm the date or collection window and the person who will meet the driver. An inquiry about availability is not a confirmed appointment.
Remove accessible personal belongings and keep the requested ownership information ready. If another car blocks access, coordinate with its owner before the collection window. Do not dismantle the vehicle or attempt unsafe movement just to create a loading position. Explain any unresolved obstacle and wait for the agreed plan.
Update the description if the car changes
If a tire is replaced, a wheel is removed or the car is moved after the quote, notify the buyer. The change may affect access, included parts or the condition being evaluated. Keep the year, make, model and location consistent when you switch between phone calls and photos.

Does a non-rolling car automatically qualify for pickup?
No. Vehicle condition, access and collection requirements need an individual review. Explain the exact situation and wait for confirmation before assuming the vehicle can be collected.
